Can't take the back half of roof off a Ford Escape when you want, though. Or have a built in wall between the cargo and passenger compartment.

Then why buy it at all if your just gonna take it off .its not an easy task at that .not like u can just easily remove it like a convertible rolling its top down with a switch.an then pay a quarter of what the base model costs ,doesnt make any sense to buy a budget truck an put a 4k suv conversion on the back. Oh an i have a fiberglass wall in my explorer that seperates the cab from the bed cargo area .its thick an almost unbreakable with a sliding window .to allow air into the cargo area in case u wanna put your animal back there .you can remove it by removing 6 bolts .so your statement is false .

Was never a cap fan, but do like the one that came with my current Ranger. Definitely don’t like the looks of this one for the Maverick though. Just doesn’t blend well with the lines and roof. I think I’ll just stick with a folding bed cover. Plus the price, wow!

For paint matched fiberglass caps, those prices aren't out of the park but I'd rather have a cap that is flush with the roofline.

I agree. That thing ruins the line of a beautiful truck.
