If you are pulling the "Ford lied to us" or "I cant believe it's taking so long to get my car" ......can you just stop?

You probably ordered before production even began.
If you recently ordered there are an S-TON of people ahead of you.
Ford didn't lie to you. The game is constantly changing so rapidly nobody can keep up.
THERE IS A WORLDWIDE PRODUCT SUPPLY CHAIN PROBLEM GOING ON RIGHT NOW.
Go look in the aisles of a grocery store or at Wally. There are empty shelves.
Go look at a dealer lot. They are empty. NO Cars are plentiful. Hell, the largest volume Honda dealer in Texas in my hometown has a lot with about 400 empty spaces.
People are losing jobs because of this.

Please, just stop. Adjust your expectations and you will be happier.

Announced today = Average USED CAR price is now OVER $28K. A month ago my 2012 Honda CR-V with 126k miles was well over $11K. What adjustment for a brand new maverick (after being purchased at MSRP) would be justified by the value of used cars?

My brother just talked to a Toyota dealership about getting a new Prius. They have none on the lot and told him ordering one will take 6 months. Maverick orders are not the only ones taking time, and of course the Prius is not a new model.

Toyota announce in October they were cutting production by 40%. If it were just a Ford thing, used cars of every brand wouldn't be in such demand.

I was at the AutoNation Honda Dealership in Lewisville TX to get a 4-Wheel Alignment done on the wife's 2009 Honda CR-V Ex. While I was there there were only three vehicles in the display area. Two were used and the new one was a "2021 Honda Civic Type-R" MSRP of $44,990. Dealer ADM of $25,000 plus dealer added Tint $399, Clear Guard $395, Protection Package $499. Total Price $71,238 before TT&L

Outside in the new car lot they had a total of 13 Cars/SUV's with ADM fees of $10,000 + the above dealer adds.

Two new vehicles on the showroom floor and about 20 used vehicles on the lot.

That was it. One salesman working.
