Please Don't Pay For This... installation option for the bed extender.

Nobody better purchase the installation option for the bed extender. They want 50 dollars for something one of our members (@Obiewan54) was able to show us how to do (one handed) in about 10 seconds.

Wait, I thought there are already existing mounts on the truck?
Are you saying charging labor fees for assembling the extender or for installing it on the truck?

The video I watch shows the extender already assembled and made me think the mounts are factory included.

At my dealership I looked at an EB, and in the bed I saw three pre-drilled holes on each side which were approximately where the vid shows the brackets attached up close at 3:30 minutes.

I purchased one and the instruction say mount bracket in existing holes. They are pre-drilled. You must be from Missouri. LOL. I KID!

Dealerships are a business, They need to make money, nothing wrong with that.

Now that I have said the above. last month my wife took her rouge in to get serviced and they came out with her cabin filter (which was not too bad) and wanted to know if she wanted to replace it, cost $75 I told her no, when we got home I ordered one from Amazon for $10 got it in 2 days and took 5 minutes and no tools to install.

You just need to decide how much your time is worth and how handy you are.

If there is a warranty involved and its a pricey item, it may be worth it to have the dealer install.

But do you get the 3 year warranty when you install yourself.. That might be worth it alone...
