The topper looks ok. If I get one, it'll be black on the alto blue body.

Since the bed is unibody, manufacturers should design the leading cap-edge to rest on the cab.

as for the antenna…I’m sure it can be somewhat relocated.

Why are folks so upset over the topper being taller than the roof. Last I checked, a topper wasn't for looks? It's for added protection/safety of items that will be stored/transported in the bed. I have a feeling you complainers don't realize how low the roof height truly is on these. A cap/topper that is in line with the roof significantly lessens your ability to safely transport and store larger items probably by a good 4-5 inches.

I'm perfectly cool with the added "head-room" the taller topper provides, makes it way more functional IMO.

I would think companies will begin releasing their models soon. Personally I stay away from Ford aftermarket stuff in general. I find better quality for less or same price

Plus it depends on the fabric. I prefer seatcovers with a little neoprene in them since I live in a state with high humidity and the beach to mountains is only 3 1/2 hours away from each other and neoprene does well

Eww that topper is heinously ugly and totally ruins the squarish aesthetic of the Maverick.

Hopefully something more square looking will come out - I'd be in the market for one for sure.
I agree. I am more function-over-form, but the topper on the Maverick makes it look like a mini-hearse to me.

I am glad to see that there is a commercial/work truck version. I've had ARE DCU's on my last two trucks and hope they come out with one for the Maverick. But being function-over-form, I'd gladly take the commercial SnugTop if that's all that's offered.

I'd be hesitant to take the regular version of the Snugtop. Those curved windows are not cheap to replace, and the ability to access the bed from the sides via the Windoors is the biggest plus to me. I mounted LED lights on the insides of the doors on my ARE DCUs. With the Windoors and rear door flipped up, I had great scene/campsite lighting.

Is it possible that the extra height of the topper has the top resting high enough that it can carry items that extend over the top of the cab and keeps them raised as to be slightly higher than the shark fin portion of the antennae?

There wouldn't be any way for both to be clamped down unless you got a cover with T-slot rails and rolled some custom clamps for the topper.
