Picked up a Flex.

I bought a 2015 Ford Flex to use for rideshare. Want to keep the miles off my Maverick. This will allow me to take the XL rides too, because it is a 7 passenger. Has 98k .miles on it, bought it for $10k. It is 3" wider than the Maverick, and massive legroom, but about the same length and height. Used it today and so far so good. Looks like the previous owner took good care of it. Recent brakes tires and struts, new battery, control arms, and alignment.

Lets hope the coming Maverick based van is closer to this than the Transit connect.

Flex was very roomy, nice ride..it just was not a good selling vehicle for Ford.
Too boxy for me.
Using it for a rideshare application should work out real well.
I like the style of the Taurus X better.

Taurus X would be too old, not enough seats, and short a couple MPG over the flex. 3 Strikes, It's out.

I believe I said, the Flex was too boxy for me, but should be good for rideshare application. Correct?
At least that's what I meant.

Always like the Flex. My local dealer used to have one as a shuttle and it had loads of room and a very good ride quality. Would make a great road trip vehicle.

We have a 2019 Flex SEL AWD. It has the 20" wheels and silver/black paint. Got it new in 2019 on closeout due to Ford not making them anymore. We are going to keep it until the wheels fall off. Just turned 60K. Just recently replaced all brake pads/rotors. Going to flush/fill transmission fluid. Change PTU fluid. I know internal water pump will eventually go (usually around 100-130K). We've had no issues at all. Great road trip vehicle. Tows our 19' Sea Ray with no problem. Can fit 8' lumber. Can hall 7 passengers comfortably. Makes an awesome tailgating vehicle . Very, very versatile and comfortable. WIll make an excellent ride share vehicle.

Helluva nice wagon you got. My dad had one. Let me tell you it was 100 times more comfy than the pos Tesla model whatever I took the only other time I did a rideshare. My dad squeezed 30mpg out of his I think.

The wife drives 2015 Flex Limited and we love it. Roomy enough for the family, and that includes my twin high school offensive linemen.
