I will say that longevity is not a strong suit of this design. I blame Nokian marketing, but a lot of people run the WR like a hot weather all-season that works well in winter, when in reality it’s a great winter tire that does okay in summer.I'm a fan of Nokian Snow Tires, I ran Hakkas before I moved to a warmer climate. The WR has been plagued with problems with dry rotting and cracking. Not sure what happened up there in Finland but they dropped the ball with the WR. This is pretty widespread so if you never had problems consider yourself lucky.
For me up here, winter traction is my #1 priority over summer performance or tread life, and winter conditions is when I do most of my driving, and what the tire mostly sees. I also replace them every 4 years. So I guess the caveat is that long hot summers are not kind to the WRs.
