As the title says I installed the ACC left buttons instead of the regular CC buttons as I intend on doing the ACC mod in the future, just not right now. It seems like reading the thread that this should work, but now I’m reading another thread that says it will not. The buttons function for cruise and volume, but I’m getting the service AWD P160 error. Is there anyway to make this work as is?

I can only tell you my somewhat unrelated experience was.

I had the buttons for my XL but not the cable for Forscan. It was due in a few days so I threw the buttons in. They didn't work at all, and my horn started going off every 3 minutes. Took them out until my cable arrived.

Can't say I'm surprised you're having that issue.

Here is a screenshot of what codes were thrown upon hooking it hook after the service AWD MFD error.

The screenshot is after I changed SCCM from 724-02-01 1290 6820 3088 back to 724-02-01 1258 4820 3030 and ran the relearn command for PCM and AWD. Note, there are two errors still showing. Are these associated with the ACC switch?

With the change to 724-02-01 1258 4820 3030, the truck no longer throws error codes, so that's good. I really want to get CC working with buttons I have though.

P160A requires an adaptive relearn of the PCM to clear it. Even then it won't guarantee the switch will work correctly.

This part of the code applies to the left turn signal stalk xxxx-****-xxxxx

**** = 6820 - for stalks with the lane assist button used with Copilot 360 and CC or ACC installed
**** = 4820 - for stalks without the lane assist button that come without the Copilot 360 package.and CC installed

They use another set of numbers for vehicles without CC but that is not applicable here.

The next issue is they don't sell ACC without Copilot 360 installed so tentatively the possible correct code will be

1290 - ???? - xxxx

1290 applies to the left and right steering wheel switches and is the correct combo for ACC switch. The ???? you'll have to try 4820 and if this doesn't work try different values besides A for the first number like 1820, 2820, 3820 until you find a value that works.
