NOT my video. But 37 comprehensive minutes with the 2025 AWD Hybrid Lariat!!!

EDIT: A few notes from the review:

  • First Ford ever for reviewer. Currently owns Model Y and Land Cruiser
  • Likes interior colors - say they do not reflect photos on line // will not look good with EG (I disagree)
  • Said 8" driver infotainment screen is same fuzzy resolution as previous 6.5" screen and no longer shows power split between electric/hybrid/regen - HUGE MISS AND BUMMER TO ME
  • Has to keep rear center seatbelt buckled because anyone sitting in the back seats causes that belt to go off
  • Wireless charging pad is still - crappy
  • Impressed with initial build quality of Maverick
  • Video quality of 360 cameras is excellent (compares to Tesla)
  • Compares B&O to Tesla and Land Cruiser (JBL) - says the sound system is amazing, claims to love music, but then has terrible EQ settings - so YMMV
  • LASTLY - reviewer does not believe Maverick is worth the money for a Lariat. So all you haters have more fuel!!

I watched the video. I appreciated his take on things. I have been going back and forth on colors and if I wanted the BAP or not. After seeing this video I think I might want the Space White Metallic without the BAP. I think it’s one of the few colors that would look good with the interior color palette.

Good review.

The dash screen should be able to be adjusted. Our escape has a tachometer display option

Yes the Lariat is pricey, but it is easy to justify the extra $1.5k of so after pricing the XLT and luxury package.

Reviewer cycled through and the “best” you can get is an EV coach screen and does not show the hybrid “tach” if you will.

Reviewer maybe didn’t play with all the display options but from my experience with my Bronco - Ford driver screens kind of suck.

Nice. I too think the Lariat is worth it. I also think the XLT is worth it over the XL which some disagree with so to each their own.

I get it on the blue interior. I had never seen a Maverick up close until the day I picked up mine. We were very surprised at how subtle the blue was compared to all the internet pics. We went from the opinion of we can live with it because it is what it is to damn, that goes great with the Iconic Silver.

I am disappointed that the outside mirror skull caps are black and not painted the same color as the truck. IMHO that should not be.

I believe it totally is. I came here from Toyota (I almost bought a 2024 Tacoma Limited, for about $20K over that Lariat's price).
I realize that these are two different types of trucks, yet I still see the Maverick as me saving $20K.

The guy's pretty schizophrenic, not sure why. He got a Lariat the same reason I did, for comfort and practicality on long business drives. He's got some kind of folding Samsung android so yeah good luck with wireless charging lol. So if he's smart, he'll sell the creaky Leon and cartoonish Toyota.

The color is my primary concern right now. I ordered green (like many others) and the video review of the green lariat has me "concerned" outside looks great, inside looks great ... the inside and outside together not so much. How did Ford not realize that a one year color would be so popular and then go with a single clashing interior option.

My thoughts exactly. I was really feeling the Green but with the primary Blue interior I don’t see how they could work together. I thought that the BAP would help but after seeing a none BAP with the White I think the colors all work well. Plus the chrome with the White makes it look elegant I think. I’ve had a couple white vehicles and other than them showing the dirt more I really liked them.

good video. Refreshing to hear the opinion of someone that’s not just trying to get clicks. Funny that he first says the Lariat is not worth the 40k, but then immedirately starts talking about the amenities you get with it being something he’s not willing to compromise on and therefore it was worth it to him. That new infotainment screen and those camera views sure looks amazing.

As someone who will be bringing my 25 Lariat Hybrid AWD home in the next 7-10 days - I clearly said the review is not mine.

Blue, truffle, and orange on the interior? Now they're just messing with people willing to pay 40k.

1. The color looks nice.

2. Not a fan of the new dash designs that many manufacturers are going with. We don't need a quarter of the instrument cluster showing engine temp and fuel.

I almost spit out my drink when he said that closing the door is like a G wagon.

The first rule of automotive marketing is to have a base level. Then add trims and see if people buy them. And then keep jumping the shark each year until people stop buying.
