Is there any changes or settings I can change (maybe using forscan) to make the Mav go into full regen as I let off the gas?
Essentially acting like a tesla where coasting doesn't really happen unless you let off the gas pedal to a sweet spot.

No, hybrids can not offer the same regenerative properties as full electric vehicles. A software change can not correct this. The regenerative properties of an electric vehicle are hardware specific.

I have not driven a Tesla but I do know that if you select L in the center of your rotary shift dial you get "one pedal" like driving.

If I were to compare it to something else it would be like a hydrostatic transmission.

Be aware that Mavericks have zero brake lights when regenerative braking. You’re asking to get rear ended, and Mavericks tolerate rear end crashes poorly.

This is a very good point. I guess good thing it's not possible.

I have not driven a Tesla either, but I drive my hybrid in the Eco Mode with the L button on. The 'L' does not change any acceleration or cruising sensations, only gives lots of regenerative braking, If I disengage to cruise control or take my foot of the accelerator, the truck will slow from about 85 km/h to 5 km/hr. (55 mph - 3 mph). below that you need the brake pedal to come to a compete stop. No I don't drive like that when I'm in traffic.

In the 3 months that I've had the the Maverick, using Eco and 'L' , Fuel economy is great. Trip 2 4600kms and 5.0 litres per 100 km , truck. Calculator says 5.3 l/100k. That is 2858 miles and 47 (43) miles per U.S. Gallon. Thats about 95 % rural highway driving, 3% city and 2% freeway/highway driving.

"...I drive my hybrid in the Eco Mode with the L button (pressed)"
Yes. I think using LOW increases regen considerably.

Max regen strength does not equal maximum MPG. You are generating tremendous heat in the battery pack that then needs to be cooled. At some point, vis air conditioning compressor running. So this is a vicious cycle, like running the kitchen refrigerator with the door open. It's anti-efficiency. You are putting more wear-and-tear on your dare I say very expensive battery pack.

You want to regen only as needed and do so as gently as possible. You don't want to not regen, but you should do it gently, not vigorously.

Leave L alone, and try driving in slippery mode and reap the benefits of longer coasting distance, longer battery life, and higher MPG.

I've been driving a Ford Hybrid since 2005. This is the way to go.

Nope hybrid doesn’t regent a battery like an electric does in fact what you’re doing is adding heat to the cycle which is gonna cause your battery to degrade more quickly and also required cooling which may fire up the air conditioner and give you less MPG. It’s counterproductive and counterintuitive to try and emulate an electric vehicle in a hybrid because you’re not getting any benefits and you’re gaming the system and hardware and making it work harder just what I know.

Basically same result as gearing down in a manual shift vehicle (except in a Hybrid, you're saving both brake wear and fuel). Use common sense, especially with traffic behind you.

No, not possible. For EVs only like the great Chevy BOLT EUV! Far cheaper than the OVER PRICED Tesla.

My wifes 2023 Outlander PHEV has one pedal driving. It takes some getting used to. When she first got the car she did not like it. But it has grown on her over time and she now uses it in certain situations. It will slow you down to about 1-2 MPH.

FWIW, I've started using L on exit ramps when there's no one behind me to kind of top off the battery before getting to the side streets.
