Oil Analysis Report for 2022 Maverick XLT 2.0 EcoBoost w/ tow package and FX4. 5000 miles on truck, 4000 miles on oil.

Hey guys,

Thought some people might be interested in my Blackstone results for engine oil.

I did the initial oil change at 1000 Miles and then did an oil change at 5000 miles (so 4000 miles on oil) oil sample on the 5000 mile oil change.

Tons of mountain driving on this oil cycle.

I run a catch can on this truck by the way, and I empty it everytime I put gas in the car. A weird water/fuel/oil mixture.

I will most likely do 4000-5000 mile oil changes from here on out.

I used Kirkland Signature 5w30 full synthetic from Coscto on this oil change and the Wix oil filter that's the alternate for the Ford filter.

Are you running the catch can on the pcv on the front of the engine or the valve cover? I’ve got one on the valve cover and it has hardly caught anything in about 1k miles

Can't beat the Costco synthetic. That's what I'm running right now with a Motorcraft filter.

I'm running mine on the valve cover. And I am collecting alot. Like I really have to empty this every other time I get gas. But I have to drive into the mountains for work, going from 4000 feet to 9000 feet almost every day. So that probably has alot to do with my catch can collection. Really putting this engine to work.

Quality oil and like a 25$ oil change all said and done. Can't beat it!

That makes sense. My commute is completely flat and I’m pretty easy on it in general. Did get a little bit after a 600 mile road trip but pretty much nothing after that.

For real, after reading this forum I though my engine sump would turn into a fuel tank after 5k

The Costco oil is the same thing as the Walmart Super Tech and the Amazon oil. They are all made by the same manufacture, Warren Oil.
