Curious…… Does the factory paint the bed then sand it to prep it for the spray-in bed liner or is there another way they do the spray-in liner?

Thanks
that I’m not sure…they prob don’t even sand it

I think under the blue it says his real name: “lucky bastard who ordered the right combo at the right time from the right people” but i could be wrong because that would be tiny print for a last name.

Tom do you have any more information on this?
An admin edited your other post and made it seem as though production for retail orders has actually been moved up.

Do you know if this was just a few moves or a part of a broader effort by Ford to fill retail orders ahead of stock units? We’re the first few weeks of production earmarked for dealer stock/quality review?
Didn’t they also state yesterday they wouldn’t be filling stock Ecoboost orders until they met retail demand?

I submitted a reservation this past Monday and selected a local dealer. They promptly contacted me and asked for my build, which I emailed to them on Tuesday. I've yet to receive any kind or quote, pricing, or any return correspondence.

I stumbled onto this website last night and found this thread. This morning I started an email conversation with Chapman with my build and received my order confirmation from Ford all in the course of an hour.

OMG, this is how buying a car should be!

Many thanks to @Dealerinsider -- Tom, Steve and everyone involved at Chapman!
Just wanted to update my initial post. The local dealer I contacted initially texted me yesterday asking for a copy of my driver's license, to which I replied "Hello, this won't be necessary. Since I thought your dealership ghosted me, I found and ordered from another dealer"

Isn't invoice what the dealer pays for the truck?
How could you possibly make money offering it for less than that?

My order is $37540 msrp, and invoice is $36715. Is the offer this post is talking about $35246???
All these include the 1495 delivery ect.

Yep, Chapman quoted me 4% below invoice for my XLT. They must be getting either some kind of bonus from ford or something else.

High volume dealers make bonus money from the Manufacturer for pumping out X amount of units. That plus financing, gap insurance, service department and other add ons, they’re doing okay 😂

Also the big thing now is if you ordered it and you don`t like it and don`t buy it then they can sell it to someone else. I don`t know for sure but have been told that Chapman is not offering 4% below on there vehicles on there dealership lot. I guess Tom could answer that for sure.

And don't forgot dealers holdback and advertising fees...

@Dealerinsider

Just wondering how many orders you had moved up a week or two besides the one
