Odd malfunction - lost ability to accelerate

This morning my maverick freaked out. I loss the ability to accelerate. But it would accelerate on its own. I pulled over. The maverick went into a hard brake lock. I switched it up to park and drive. Would not move. I pressed the gas, make a huge bang sound followed with a grind. I left it parked for 30 minutes in a parking lot. Started it back up. Will drive now. But engine light is on. Took it to dealer. They said no codes. And told me to bring it back Monday because they cant do anything other than change the oil today. I have under 14,000 miles. 2023 hybrid. Had some alerts sent to my app. We will see whats wrong monday. Almost wonder if its a software update issue. I believe i got all the updates/recalls. But there has been so many that its been a chore keeping up with it. Not too worried about the issue with having warranty and well documenting the issue at my current miles incase it continues out of warranty. Last time i had my mav updated was 4/24.

Big write up regarding this. Have you had the PCM software recall that was issued AFTER mid March 2024? This corrected a PCM software recall that was issued prior to mid March that was causing this issue.

Last time i had my recalls updated was 4/24.

Around that time, some dealerships were not aware of the updated recalls causing the trucks to power down. I would have a dealer check and do another update.

Don’t get the no code thing if engine light is on?
