We made a cover using some discounted alligator marine fabric some plywood, a few bolts, bungee cord, cam jams, leftover window and door seals and 2x4s, and some seatbelts from our old ford ranger. (RIP)
Traveled from New Mexico to NorCal and so far things are dry and secure. We made use of the Flexbed ™️ so it can hold weight. Eventually going to make an extension that folds out from the tailgate so we can sleep on it— ran out of time before the trip. For now it’s nice to sit on and enjoy the view.
It can be completely installed and removed in a few minutes. Was a lot more affordable than the $600 covers that could maaaaaybe hold 300lbs. Also, we like to make things so we will keep you posted on how it holds up—built it for fun so not expecting it to be bulletproof. If it starts to fall apart, it could make a great hot tub cover
