I got my xlt in late October and do get asked about it every couple of weeks. My favorite was when I was parked at an oudoor mall. We were eating close by and could see a guy circling around it slowly. Before he walked away he nodded gave the truck a thumbs up to himself. I think he probably had one on order.

I honestly thought the same thing, that when someone saw the Maverick and didn't know what it was they would ask. I guess our excitement about the truck doesn't translate to some stranger that hasn't heard of it and doesn't even care about a small truck that gets great gas mileage.

I have only had 1 person (a co-worker) in my 10 months of ownership ask about it and that was only because they had considered buying one.
That's because they don't even know it gets great mileage! Ford's lack of advertising means that only truck (and/or car) enthusiasts know much about what's available out there... If they don't read auto/truck magazines or frequent enthusiast web sites, they probably don't even know the Maverick exists.

I find that these days I'm getting more questions about Ford "reviving" the Maverick name than about the truck itself - usually from (ahem) somewhat older folks (like me) that used to have an OG Maverick...

I think some of it is color- Carbonized grey is so dark the Maverick on the rear isn't very visible...
I'm starting to see a correlation between those who drive the brighter Maverick colors (HPR, CO, etc.) getting more questions, versus those who drive the more muted colors (A51, black, and various shades of gray) getting fewer inquiries. I'm starting to think it's the "invisibility cloak" those muted colors provide... Don't get me wrong - I think a Maverick in ANY color is a great-looking truck - but maybe the muted colors just don't get noticed as much. Good thing with cops, bad (maybe?) thing with other drivers...

Owners Stop posing and angling for cred….. that was 2022 Too many Rivian, lightnings and other crazy things that are now much hotter than our capable economical and fantastic truck, and I preferred not talking to nitwits in the parking lot anymore lol Jes Sayin

I COMPLETELY agree, and I really really wanted the Cyber orange (my favorite shade of my favorite color), but wife early on didn't want to pay extra for paint. We ranked the remaining colors and both picked grey. It looks like any other boring truck in the big parking lots.

But I put a couple orange accents in the back window. :D I'm a HUGE disc golf fan- companies give names to the different shapes of discs. So one is the "Maverick" by Dynamic Discs, and the littler one is our disc golf business logo. :)

I'm currently driving a '22 First Edition Maverick Lariat Hybrid that is Area 51. It's a nice, "safe" color but doesn't stand out much. I've got a Cyber Orange '23 Hybrid Lariat (with BAP) on order for me that will solve that problem ... Wife has its twin on order, but in Cactus Gray. Area 51 was the second choice for both of us, so if one of our '23s doesn't come through, we'll probably be keeping "Twighlight" (her name for the A51 Mav)...

I've had my FX4 Ecoboost XLT since November. I've been surprised that during that time I've only had one person come up and talk to me about the truck. I don't live in a small town at all and I've been surprised by this. Ford has obviously sold of ton of these but perhaps the Midwest isn't the hotspot for Mavericks I thought it would be.
I repeatedly get stopped and asked questions at generally the most inconvenient times: when about to leave for work, when my infant has just pooped himself and I'm trying to change a diaper, or I'm just trying to take the trash out. People stop by, take pics, and ask lots of questions. There's lots of excitement in the South.

I have an A51 and it absolutely does stand out and gets lots of complements on the color coming mostly from women! There is a woman that works at Sonny’s BBQ that literally drools all over my Truck every time we visit that establishment!! Lol

When I see one, it's usually on the road and 9 times outa 10, it's headed in the opposite direction! If I were to follow the owner just to ask how they like it, it would be weird, and this day in age, could be dangerous. So, I just look and wonder....

The only reason i approached some one was because my wife really wanted to do a walk around of the vehicle. She’s highly confused that you can’t go to a dealer and see one or test drive.

Yeah, the first time my wife touched one - or even saw it - was when I pulled into the driveway in it... But now she loves it!

My wife hates my XLT Mav and refuses to drive it. Probably because I spoiled her with an XC40 loaded with all the goodies. I was surprised with the Maverick's position on this used-car pricing video (dropped today) by TFL. Personally, I'll be plenty happy if I just don't lose my shirt selling my Maverick down the road.

I'd prefer to gauge "popularity" by how quickly Mavericks sell out. Which is at a very fast rate.

That said, I am constantly asked about my Mav wherever I go. Might have something to do with the hot pepper red color; it's an eye-catcher. I actually have almost walked by 2 Mavs in parking lots before noticing them. Their colors simply didn't grab the eye.

I guess there are still some folks in these parts that haven’t seen a Maverick up close! Yesterday while having lunch I noticed a group checking mine out. My Wife says it’s the color that gets their attention! Lol
