Is there any way to get the keypad key if the card wasnt with the manual upon delivery?

I emailed my dealer but as usual they are useless and havent responded.

To find the keyless entry code, you need to have two programmed smart keys:

1. Insert a key into the ignition and switch the ignition on for a few seconds.
2. Switch the ignition off and remove the key.
3. Insert the second key into the ignition and switch the ignition on.
4. The factory-set code will display for a few seconds in the instrument cluster located above your steering wheel. Make sure you are ready to record the information.

Before you begin, make sure you have the two programmed intelligent access keys that came with your vehicle. If you don’t have a second key, contact your Ford Dealer and they’ll be happy to assist you.

Let’s begin:

1. Place the first programmed key in the backup slot.*
2. Press the START/STOP button once. Wait five seconds.
3. Press the START/STOP button again. Remove the key.
4. Now, insert the second programmed key. Press the START/STOP button.

Once you’ve completed all four steps, the factory-set code will appear in the instrument cluster located above your steering wheel for a few seconds. Make sure you are ready to record the information.

* How to find the backup slot for your vehicle
The backup slot is where you place the key fob (also called remote or passive key) if you are unable to start your vehicle. To locate the backup slot in your vehicle:

1. Go to your Owner’s Manual.
2. Go to the Starting and Stopping the Engine section.
3. Locate directions for Keyless Starting.
4. Find the instructions for “If you are unable to start your vehicle”.

Thanks. I did try it with the two keys in the ignition a few times earlier, however the code didn't show up. Will try it again.

Dealer should be able to use scan tool to look it up for you as well.

On my expedition it was printed on a sticker in the footwell.

Ours was not bundled with the manual. It was a separate card just placed in the glove box. Are you sure it's not just tucked away somewhere in there? It's pretty thin almost like a credit card and it took me a few days to realize it was there.

Its not in the manual, the sales person should have handed you a card with the code on it

Mine was wrapped in cellophane from the factory . I had to remove it to get to the card. There was also 3 other smaller guides in that plastic wrap.

Once you change the code, the code from the factory is not longer valid and can't not be used again.

The master code will always be there.

You can put in a second code that can be changed at any time as long as you have the master code.

ask your sales person to go get it from. service and text it you, that's what I did, bought mine used.
