Looks like the Escape will be moving to the Mach-E platform after 2026, leaving just the Mav and baby Bronco on this chassis. Is that because its electric (boogey oogey oogey oogey) or because its getting bigger, to fill the gap the Edge will leave behind? Or both?

There shows a Kia Pickup coming in 2026.

Subaru is moving Crosstrek and Forester production to the USA.

What is a Grand Highlander? Will it have woodgrain sides?

VW Scout production starts 2026. I'm going to order one now and let them and Ford see who gets me a truck first.

What isn't listed: Maverick BEV. They have Explorer BEV, Bronco BEV, and Ranger BEV, but not Maverick. Seems to indicate Ford isn't aiming to make a full electric Maverick. So 2033 would be the earliest?
Hmm you would think they would make electric …

Hmm you would think they would make electric …
I didn't think they would go BEV for the Maverick, could they even do a BEV on the C2 platform? Maybe that's why the Escape is moving to the Mach-E platform.

No, its a super sporty sports car that just happens to have a hatchback, right?

To me it appears that the next gen Escape, Exploder and MACH-E will share a platform and be at least EV capable, if not exclusively EV. That, and the fact that the Edge is set to expire soon, leads me to believe either the MACH or Escape will move up in size to take the place of the Edge.

I think you got me there. The Escape is moving to the Exploder BEV platform. The regular Exploder will soldier on as is. I guess they will have three very similar compact EV SUVs that they can't produce.

Hopefully not to off topic, but i saw Tim and Daughter sort of imply that it wasn't out of the question that Maverick ordering might skip a year, like Bronco. I got the same impression from a sales guy at my local dealer. Of course it could just be me misreading the whole thing.
