New wheels ordered for the Maverick.

Had saved a little for some replacement wheels for the Maverick, and found one I liked. I checked out the specs and have them on order. Should be in next week. The only thing, the wheels weight rating is 1725. A little low maybe? It is a Bronco Sport wheel from Discount Tire.

The rear GAWR is 2770 so each wheel is taking 1385 lbs max, which is 340 lbs below the wheels max rating. Chances are I'm not going to load up the bed, I have a utility trailer, and won't be going off roading.

I'm thinking as long as I don't get aggressive on speed bumps, or go road racing, I will be just fine. Anyone have any thoughts?

The wheels arrived last week, too late to install before the new year. Had an appointment for install tuesday but the entire Discount Tire store system was down. Went in first thing this morning and, finally, got the wheels on.

I used the factory tires, when those wear out I'll put on an all terrain type tire.

Make sure you protect your bed from the less than caring helpers. I asked for the old rims to be put in the shipping boxes to protect the bed. The young man doing the work tossed out a couple boxes. I was going to say something, but he suddenly went and recovered the boxes. I think the young lady working with him was a little more with it.

Discount tire did the swap over for 22.00 a wheel.
