Mine plays MP3s off my thumb drive.....
I have tried but I think is everything yes I'm inserting the flash drive in the correct USB port yes the USB port has power I can charge a phone on it I have deleted my phone from the Android car system I have on a full format on flash drives and they are newer flash drives
no go never sees it
the truck will go in for basic oil change stuff down the road I'll ask the dealer there I'm not expecting any resolution via that route
I just use my phone now to play music I found a great music player so I don't even use that USB for a flash drive it doesn't work

I simply plugged a USB drive into the larger USB port, and it indexes the drive, and plays the music. I am disappointed in Ford, as I am moving from a Chevy Cruze. My Cruze supported a USB hub, so I had 2 drives plugged in with different music. When I plugged the USB hub into the Maverick, it popped up and said "USB hub is not supported"....

What was the Software Version before the update started?

What is the Software Version that you are downloading?

I just checked for updates and there are no updates available.

I just got my MY2023 Maverick on 9/22/2023 and this is the Software Version currently installed:

Ford Audio Software Version: G2.1.0.1_R22362A
Revision: G.2.1.0.1_Product_GG

This is the firmware that was released Feb 8, 2023.

See here: New Radio Software Update G2.1.0.1_R22362A

When the update completes let us know if the update version is newer than G2.1.0.1_R22362A
Thanks!

I Have a iPhone, I have updated to iOS17, iOS17.1 and 17.2 and I have noticed a difference in update to Apple Care Play. I'll update the firmware this AM.

Apparently it's been a while since I updated. Mine took about 15 minutes to update from 1.9 -> 2.2, and I received an audio confirmation after cycling the key and waiting a minute.

Sorta related and quite weird: every time I drive by a specific street in the area, the Android Auto connection closes out (I'm using a wireless dongle), then comes back once I've left the area. It happens without fail, 100% of the time. I haven't thought to check if my phone's BT connection to the truck also dies when driving through this area. Probably some crazy dude blasting signals from his house.

There are 3 areas I regularly drive past near me in Michigan that also have done this with all of my android auto radios/phones over the past 5 years. It's got to be some sort of interference.

Hey all,

I've been trying to do the firmware update on my truck, but it could not find the update, no matter how many times I pressed the "Scan For Updates Now" button. Does anyone happens to run into the same issue as me?

Attached below is the software version on my 2023 Maverick XL Hybrid, connected to my mobile hotspot (2.4GHz):

I just updated my '22 XLT to 2.2.0.1. Went pretty quick. When done I received an audio confirmation that the update had completed, I don't recall hearing that on prior updates.
I have a ā€˜22 Lariat, was there anything different you noticed on the updates?

Downloading as of making the post, hopefully fixes the random Bluetooth disconnections.

I was hoping this update would fix an issue I’m having with CarPlay, but it didn’t. When I’m connected to CarPlay, I can’t receive an incoming call unless I first make an outgoing call. Anyone else having this problem?

Mine would not update with either my home WiFi or using my phone hotspot. I decided to try hooking up my eero WiFi extender, which I hadn’t used since moving earlier this year. It connected and immediately started downloading. Took about 15 minutes in total. Go figure.

I have the weirdest "bug" after updating to 2.2. When I have my car door open, but the key is NOT in the ignition, the car chimes every few seconds as if the key IS in the ignition.
Also, the driver's screen (not the center screen) stays lit after I turn off the car and open the door, which I don't think it has done before. I *think* this is new, but it might just be the chiming is calling my attention to it.
It did not do these things on 2.1, and has only been since I updated to 2.2 earlier this week.
