Was the third brake light on your lariat already LED? Ford site says it's supposed to be but haven't found a clear answer yetI used Combriller LED 912 bulbs for my 3rd brake/cargo lights. They are very bright and light up my cargo area nicely. Even through the Honeycomb Smoke Tinting.
Thanks for that! Right now i'm planning on keeping the same mount but going to switch out all three bulbs for LEDs, most likely going to switch the reverse lights to LEDs as wellMine wasn't, I think Ford scrapped that idea early on and did not update the literature accordingly. An OEM LED F-150 third brake light will fit with minor modification to the connector though. P/N for OEM LED if interested: FL3Z13A613B
No, the 3rd Brake Light/Cargo Lamps up on the cab were incandescent. However, the rear bed light in the left sidewall right behind the tailgate near the 110v/400w outlet is LED. LED's that were OEM from factory on my Lariat Lux:Was the third brake light on your lariat already LED? Ford site says it's supposed to be but haven't found a clear answer yet
Now if I could work out some fog/driving lights on my FX4 blank next to my tow hooks, akin to yours. I have been thinking about trying to source something that is close to the size of the FX4 blanks that I could get in there and have an OEM look. And possibly get an OEM fog light switch from a Bronco/Sport/Ranger that I could work out a way to control them. Then I would be satisfied.
