Not generally a frequent participant on message boards anymore but do find a lot of good infomation from time to time so thought I would jump in here for what it's worth. Hello from DeKalb, IL, we're glad to be here!
Anyone remember the Grabber package from 71-76 on the "other" Maverick? When I ordered mine, it was replacing both my F150 which was more truck than my needs required at this stage of life, along with my 2015 Mustang Ecoboost, or my "toy" so I wanted something to stand out a bit as I like to hang out at cruise nights and car shows. I thought of making mine a Ranchero, which is what I thought Ford should have named these little trucks in the first place, but then remembered the coolness the Grabber package added to the little Nova competitor when I was entering adulthood in the 70"s.
So, there you have it, I took delivery July 1 this year of my 24 Lariat Ecoboost, rolled it into the garage and went to masking and painting some more personality onto "Bret", my new toy. Not as many folks remember the Maverick Grabber as do the Ranchero but we've jogged a few memories hanging out with the local crowd!
