Edit- these do not work! Gorilla was mistaken
These finally came in and do not work. They thread up fine, just do not seat well.

Original post below
Talked to Gorilla directly and they have a M14x1.5 nut that’s 1.4” long, will not stick out like others.
They told me the only direct authorized retailers are SFX performance and Summit racing. Taking a chance on eBay and Amazon with clones

So found out these don’t work as gorilla told me they would.
can anyone answer the big mystery what a name brand solid lug should be?
I’ve had issue with all ford lugs with the cover. Wtf is that about. Anyway it’s a lug nut, should not be that difficult

I don't know why those don't seat well. I have a different brand on my Amazon wish list for when my Maverick comes in but they are also 60 degree lug nuts.

Interesting. You sure you have the correct product? I'm using gorilla lugs with my BS sport wheels with no issues. They seat perfectly

They seam to bottom out without even tightening. I slightly tightened and it left a groove half way up the taper part the rim. Will they hold the wheel on? Probably but long term unsafe imho as they do not seat all the way
For now I’ll keep the ford lugs and a any size fits all lug remover incase the outter shell crush’s (it’s what crooks take your locks right off, quick, easy and sold about anywhere)

I forgot. Gorillla guy told me this is a new lug for mavericks that they discovered it works. Probably not all rims is my guess. What part# did you use?

You're making me nervous, as #91743 is exactly what I ordered from Summit Racing (with a precise referral from the Gorilla expert) in mid-Sept (when I had a Sept 29 build day). MY '23 build day is Jan 13 so I won't be able to see if they work until Feb.
I understand the problem is they are not deep enough to seat properly. I plan to use them with a XLT Hybrid with stock Al rims. Is that what you tried, and have you contacted or gotten a response from Gorilla?

You guys realize that BS wheels are sized for 12mm studs, not 14mm like Mav uses. If the holes were 2mm larger, the tapered area would be also.

I have XLT wheels ready to put on when I finally get my XL hybrid. I‘ll hold off on buying black lugs for now just in case there‘s an issue and I need to return them.

This has been discussed ad nauseum here and there is no issue, there is plenty of seating area with aftermarket lugs like the Gorillas which are made to fit a wide variety of wheel types with a 60 degree seat.
