I'm Tina.

Live in the Seattle area - already noticed there's a PNW group here (whoohoo!).
I'm a mechanical engineer with 30yr exp in gas turbine power generation (yes, that means I'm in my 50's)... but pay others to change the oil on my cars. LOL.

Bought a new-to-me 2022 Hybrid XLT w/Lux package last week, Chili Pepper Red (and I'm a UW grad, thus my handle). Someone loved this truck! 45k miles and LOTS of extras already installed.

I'd love to hear from the orig owner on where this baby has been! Hopefully not too many horror stories. I'm sure it was parked when the engine fire recall was issued (somewhere around 9/23). Dealer "fixed" that... but now have a bad Evap canister valve... so far not impacting drivability - waiting on parts to come in to get the engine light off for good (hopefully).

We plan to set the truck up as a toad for our Seneca SuperC motorhome in the near future. Want to get to know it a bit better before we go to all the work, though. Love this forum!

Congrats! Wish I had jumped on the bandwagon in 2022.

Ford stripped out a few things for 2023 like the WiFi hotspot, display on the climate control knobs, and center console lighting. Could be worse, they got rid of wiper heaters too on 2024; keep charging more for less.

Hope you got a good deal and enjoy the flat tow ability with the hybrid.

Welcome to the club and congratulations on getting your "new to you" Maverick! The HPR looks super in your pics.

Perhaps one of the first mods you need to add is a Maverick Truck Club decal so you can properly “represent.”

Welcome! HPR is a color that just always looks good. Make sure its tucked up tight behind your motorhome, If you can see it in your mirrors, your gonna be looking back there too much!

Welcome to the maverick and hot pepper red club. In december we picked up my wifes hot pepper red 24 xl hybrid, after waiting 17 months. She loves the truck and color. We live in pennsylvania and drove it to florida with out any problems. We are also in our 50's and retired and enjoying our his and hers mavericks.
