It's now going on eleven months since i ordered my Maverick Lariat through a small dealer in Kentucky. My reason for choosing this dealer is that this dealer has won numerous President's Award and they only sell vehicles at MSRP. I originally ordered a hybrid Maverick Lariat, but when we received information and switching to an ecoboost would increase my chances of getting built. Customer Service with Ford has given me all kinds of excuses, yet I see others who have ordered at the same time or later since September 16, 2022 have received their Maveric. I cannot believe how inept Ford Motor Company has been in getting this fiasco or an order system figured out. I've bought 8 new Ford vehicles since 2013 off the lot. I've been a loyal Ford customer. I have used Ford's service department at this one dealer I was using. I currently have a 2019 Edge Titanium and a 2020 Ford Escape SEL. I've decided that after this experience with Ford, I'll be going with a different brand. This is a text book case for a School of Business to review and see how Ford has been such a failure.
Took 8 months to get our ecoboost.curious if changing your order actually caused a longer wait time?

do you get preferential treatment anywhere these days? if you put my buying new Fords record next to yours I would have had mine months ago.
Nope, entitlement doesn't apply here.
I don't think it's about entitlement, but common courtesy. Ford should have some sort of "line" and if they insist on using this antiquated allocation model that info needs to be transparent. And most importantly hold dishonest dealerships accountable.

I think the issue may be that you ordered it through a small dealer. I’m sure the dealer has won awards but the Mavericks are allocated based on the amount of sales a dealer does. Therefore, a larger dealer is best when ordering a vehicle. Additionally, if you order through Ford, the manufacturer locks in your price.

. I waited 600 plus days for mine. Finally got it. Wish I could say it was worth the wait.

No such thing. Only dealers order through Ford. Customers must order through dealer. Ford can not really lock in the price the dealer charges.

allocations to the chosen dealer….ask the dealer how many allocations they have and where you are on the list…

Yes, this thread has gone on with a life of it's own. I guess we've all dealt with our waiting times and it can many times be an issue .

They mistakenly thought they were the only one waiting that long to get a Maverick. Not only were they impatient, they were also clueless as to how this whole Maverick ordering/buying thing works.

I’m also going on 11 months/ but supposedly Mi e is getting delivered at the end of August which will be 2 weeks short of a year. But yes, my patience is also thin

If you have anything on your order for example floor mats it will hold up your vehicle. I waited a year for my 2022 Eco and dropped everything I could that I could buy on my own. That was my experience! Good luck. Its worth the wait but understand your frustration, we've all been there.

I can only imagine how long this poor guy waited just to see it on a truck on its way to a junk yard. I stopped at a truck stop in Montana and this tow truck pulled up pulling a broken down junk yard truck with a new Maverick in it. I’m assuming the back was wrecked. I sure would of liked to get the rems off it.🤷🏼‍♂️

I ordered my Lariat on Jun 20, 2021; received it Dec 21, 2021. I thought that was a long wait….not so much now.
