My “ST” Build + Spare Development Corsair 2.3L I4 Turbo Engine

I have officially lost my mind but it should be fun.

2023 Lariat AWD 4k BAP Carbonized Grey. Eibach Pro springs with Konig 18” Dekagrams and Falken 235/60/18 tires.

Current mods are:
My Intercooler upgrade
Liveronis tuner on E30 tune.
Dual catch can kit

Of course I had to buy a set of these

The next round of mods are:

S&B Cold Air Intake
My 2.5 inch hard pipes w/ Turbosmart BOV
3 inch downpipe and cutout
Colder plugs

Stage 4 57/71 Corsair 2.3 turbo you guys already know about

And proof I’ve officially lost it (bought Lincoln Corsair 2.3L I4 Turbo Engine)

A couple things to note, I know the big power guys use the 2.0 block so let’s get that out of the way. For one the price was too good to pass up, it will give me a spare motor to develop more parts including the Ranger turbo swap kit, and an extra 40/40 ish extra power to start never hurt.

Fuel will definitely be addressed which Liveronis is working on something. I presume the transmission has officially been sentenced to death, but you never know. One thing is for sure, a weak link will be found.

Oh and lastly, I was joking about the ST badges

2021 Lincoln Corsair Reserve 2.3-liter turbo charged four cylinder puts out 295 horsepower and 310 pound feet of torque vs 2022 Ford Maverick 2.0-liter turbo charged four cylinder that puts out 250 horsepower and 277 pound feet of torque. Nice starting point.

Corsair has a bit stronger version of the 8-speed, no?

With that slightly shorter diff ratio of the 4K package, I would imagine this Maverick will be quick..

Mount the 2.3 in the bed with a V-drive!!! Electronic throttle wizardry should keep things happy. First Maverick over 500hp 500tq.

This is all the info that I could find on the 8F variants: (I list the year of a car just for some limited context, obviously there are more):

18 Focus 1.0 1.5T: 8F24 good for 176ftlbs
22,23 Maverick 2.0T: 8F35 good for 258ftlbs
21 Corsair 2.3T: 8F40 chain that is 1/8" bigger than the 8F35 good for ?
Fushion, Edge, Taurus 2.7V6: 8F57 good for ?

Other: 8F45 good for 354ftlbs (heard of it, but can't find what uses it on the ford side, so I think there is some confusion here, and this is the 'other' 8 speed that everyone else is using)...
