Anyone mounted actual mud tires? Every offroad demo or comparison video has, to me, seemed like the thing that stopped or slowed them down was the AT tires or even the regular car tires. Even at 22mpg this truck will almost double the mileage of anything I own so I am not concerned about hypermiling(gas is still cheaper than bottles water right?).
So has anyone found any Mud Terrain tires in 17 wheels small enough to fit these trucks. I think I found a Maxxis Bighorn 245/70/17 the other day(which will require a lift, but I plan on that any way). 17" is such a hard wheel size to find tires for. I have heard that some steel 16" wheels will fit but living near the ocean I dont know how well they would last. Anyway I hope to find something aggressive enough for me to not worry about getting stuck anywhere. ATs really just dont do it for me at all. I may consider Duratracs though as they are semi aggressive. And no I dont want KO2s, they are the most over rated tire out there and dont do a dang thing if the mud is more than a inch or two deep.
