That doesn't sound bad at all for a 4 banger.

Focus RS exhaust pops are freaking awesome, you ever hear a 1.6 Toyota Yaris with 700 HP take off, you don't need 8 cylinders for a nice exhaust note. I mean if you like that stock sound, I guess you do you.

I disagree. I've yet to ever hear a 4 or 6 cylinder that sounds as good as a performance V8.

Yup, no way to make the 4 poppers sound like a throaty V8.

That said, I have heard some cool sounding fours.

Kinda like a V12 at 7,000 rpm - nothing like it!

I never said it sounded better nor they could ever compare to 8 cyl, I merely said they still sound good. But I guess if we're comparing, an exhaust on a V12 in a Ferrari F 50.

I guess to each there own. To me it sound like a Maytag washing machine I used to have. To me nothing sounds as good as a V8.

EcoBoost only. Not for hybrid.
That is correct. An aftermarket exhaust produces a louder and more aggressive exhaust note when the internal combustion engine is active. This can result in a jarring transition between the quiet electric mode and the louder internal combustion mode, which some drivers may find odd or unpleasant as the vehicle switches between motors based on the vehicle's control system's decisions.
