It’s hot outside. The dash pictured on my Ford XL is sticky. Sticky to the point if you touch it, your fingers get sticky.
This is not normal. A dash should not get sticky. The lighter blue part of the dash is not sticky. Just the darker blue part.
I had a 2003 Toyota 4Runner that the dash started to get sticky after 15 years. If you touched it with a Kleenex, it would stick, to the dash. I tried several topping to stop the stickiness, but the sticky feeling always came back. In 2021, I received a letter from Toyota, that they would replace the dash Free of charge. They knew there was a problem.
Ford there is a problem with the darker section of the dash. The material for this part need to be changed and replaced at no charge.
