Thanks for showing this video. I am glad to see this filter is built pretty solid. I will continue to use motor craft FL-910s on my Hybrid maverick. Nice to see how well it is made, much better than most. This youtuber cuts open oil filters. This one was used in a maverick.
Yeah he's done other motorcraft filters in the past and it convinced my that they are a bargain. They have all the necessary features and the build quality is good. If you are changing your own oil there is no reason to buy anything else if you own a ford. Unless it's really old and you don't care in which case walmart supertech filters are just fine - another brand he's cut open and shown good build quality inside. Thanks for showing this video. I think it's indicative of a potential issue if the excess glue should come loose and get into the engine. Shouldn't happen. But it's probably not an issue and could well be a manufacturing one-off.Why is the little extra glue an issue?
I bet that filter is so clean because it was less than 5k miles and it was a hybrid.
The gas engine was not running the entire time.
Would be interesting to see one cut open with same miles on the filter from a EB.
you can get them for $6.25 each on amazon if you buy a dozen.Wow they are $8.44 now. I stocked up on a half dozen FL910S for my Fiesta ST and I think the price was half that pre pandemic at Walmart.
Thanks for posting that link. I have kept the tiny factory filter with plans to open it up. My favorite part was his filter case cutter. Think I will have to build one of those...This youtuber cuts open oil filters. This one was used in a maverick.
Thanks for video. I too will build one of those cutters. I used to run the last of the oil drain through cheese cloth to see what was going on. Your cutter is a better way to go.This youtuber cuts open oil filters. This one was used in a maverick.
