They gave me a 10, said fingers crossed ford builds it. Does Ford even check? My first ford order ever. Reason I ask is that wife I ordered is for the wife. Want to order mine too, just so I am informed of this process. thanks.

Order priority is used at the dealer you ordered from for use in selecting which vehicles get scheduled first.

Order priority ranges from 19 down to 10 with 10 being the best and selected before any 11 - 19 priority orders.

The region that the dealer is in will pull down the priority down to 2 when the dealer you ordered with has allocations available. This usually happens on Monday or Tuesdays.

Remember even if you get pulled down to a 2 your order may be constrained by options on your order.

My order is an XLT Hybrid with the Co-Pilot360 on it.

This chart from Ford shows what the constraints on orders that may slow getting scheduled for a build date.

As you can see the XLT is 59% constrained, the Hybrid is at 35% and the Co-Pilot360 is at 40%.

Using these numbers and assuming that my dealer gets 12 allocations then 35% of that is 4.2 or 4 of the 12 will be Hybrid selections. XLT at 59% is 7.08 so 7 of the 12 can be XLT's so that means that of the 4 Hybrids at least 2 and probably 3 can be XLT's. The CP360 at 40% means that about 5 of the 12 allocation can have CP360 on them so again that looks good 2 or 3 of the Hybrids can have CP360 on them and get selected for a build date.

Reordered my '22 as a '23 on Saturday - Lariat Hybrid Lux, 360 and 360 assist, moon roof and spray-in bedliner. Alto Blue, Priority 13. Asked for a 10 or 11 and was told all those had already been assigned. Considering this would be my seventh Ford from this dealer, candidly I was hoping for better.

If I ran a reputable dealer, I would do priority like this:
10 = MY22 conversion
11 = Waitlist prior to September 18
15 = Walk-In orders

But keep in mind if Ford can't build one of the 10s due to a constraint, an 11 will be built first.

Priority is not hard and fast. When a dealer gets an allocation Ford looks at what they can build. Heavily constrained priority 10 builds are often built after lower priority codes with no or fewer constraints.

10 = MY22 conversion

In an attempt to keep peoples place in line for 22 rollovers, my dealer took that concept to the next level and broke down PC by original order dates. Something similar to this:

10=Sept 2021 order rollovers
11=Oct21 order rollovers
12=Nov21 order Rollovers
Etc and reservations till 19, then all 19s for new orders

Not understanding at the time what they did, I told my dealer all rollovers were supposed to be 10 from the Ford memos. He said it is good this way.

Still thinking it was incorrect, I ran it by @fordvideoguy last night. But Tim gave a compeletey different response, lol. When Tim explained it, it made sense and it is much fairer to the oldest rollover orders.

Ordered my second Mav last night. This one is an XL, Area 51, Hitch, DIBL, 400w Outlet, Steelies, Weather Mats (no carpet), 360 Co-pilot. $25025+tx. MSRP, No Markup.

Interestingly, during the order process, I ordered the Lug Locks thinking one less thing I have to do myself. BUT, then I saw a charge for DIO (Dealer Installed Options) of $75.00. Really? Just to swap four lugs? So I had the dealer remove them since I was just being lazy (and a little cheap).

The dealer cheerfully removed the item, without rolling his eyes, brow-beating me nor shaming me.

So far, so good with this dealer.
