I purposely stayed away from AWD and Ecoboost. The Flex is getting 20-21 MPG combined, which is not bad. At least it gets some higher paying XL rides to offset the gas increases. But the Maverick is not that comfy when the seat is slid forward for passenger room. And with my bad knee, the Flex is much better for driver comfort.
If you have doubts just ask Dave Ramsey. I suspect he would say "SELL"!

I did 2 XL rides this morning, out of 8 in 3.5 hours. Oddly, I have noticed it seems the offers are better driving the Flex. More higher paying reservation rides. Where I used to do $100 for 4 hours or so, it now is $120-$150 in 4 hours. It seems like the gas difference is well covered. I gained the higher paying XL rides, but lost the Lower (same as X class) Green rides. More of the XL riders tip too.
I certainly would not want to pay XL prices riding in the backseat of a Maverick anywhere. Your Flex is the right choice for rideshare.

I know you posted the question what to do

The Maverick is only eligible for regular X/X Share, and green rides. You have to have 7 seats to be an XL.

Maverick should be "XS" 😄.
I wear size 14 shoe. When I have sat in backseat of my Maverick. Getting out is not easy. The area between the pillar and seat is tight for my feet. The picture shows that's as high as I can get my heel in the back, I'm actually against the bottom of the seat, before I have to twist my leg to get the toes out

Ford Maverick Might be time to sell. IMG20240920105459

I am 5/11, 330#, and size 13/14 shoes depending. I can sit in back, but I wouldn't want to do an interstate trip back there. The Flex on the other hand, will accommodate 7 foot riders with size 18 shoes very easy.

I paid $25K for my 23 Hybrid. I just got an offer on it for $26,400, with 27,000 miles on it now. Since I bought a Ford Flex for rideshare, I really don't need the Maverick now. I'm very tempted. Of course I will keep/sell off most of the accessories I bought for it. What to do?
Would you buy a 2023 Hybrid Maverick with 27k miles for $26,400, today?

If no, your answer is to sell.

XL rides is a larger vehicle with at least 7 seats. Maverick is a 5 seater, so it only qualifies as the Base "X" rides. XL vehicles need 7 seat belts, and pays about 50% or more extra.

That's a great way to look at it.

Remove the front seat, and drive from the back.

If necessary, remove the pillar and remount rear door as suicide door.

Which basketball player did the ads for the VW Rabbit back in the 70s?

I'd sell it - looks like with the '25 AWD option that many are hopping on eventually there MIGHT be a decrease in demand for FWD hybrid models and a corresponding drop in value.

You got 27k miles out of it, already have another vehicle to drive, aproching the end of the warranty period, and can break even if you sale it. I think there should be no question what you need to do. Pretty sure Mavericks values are only going to drop from here on, and most likely like a rock. Only folks that need to hang on to theirs are those who plan to drive the wheels off of it. Not sure I would even recommend trying that since the quality and reliablilty of these probably wont let them last much more than 8-10years or 120k miles. I sure can't justify spending $30k for something I only got 120k miles or 10yrs out of. Maybe everyone else can?
