My Mav came with the Pirelli AT tires (Ecoboost AWD/4k tow/FX4). They were ok, but I didn't like how noisy/rough they were. Most of my driving is on pavement or gravel roads. Sometimes on firm dirt/grass around the horse farm. So AT tires aren't a necessity for me.

I ended up with a nail in the sidewall and used it as my excuse to ditch the Pirellis. A friend who works as an engineer for Corvette Racing recommended the CrossClimate2 tires.

I've got a couple hundred miles on them and just love them. So much fun to drive on! So quiet! Straight as an arrow on grooved pavement (common on freeways in metro Detroit). My freeway mileage is slightly better, 32-ish mpg. My around-town mileage has dropped a bit, but I mostly attribute that to my enjoyment of the tires and goosing the acceleration and cornering more, haha! Local mpg currently around 25-26 mpg, down from 27-28.

They look really good on the Maverick too.

Exactly the set I was ready to buy for this winter, but alas, no truck. Had a great snow rating for an all weather tire.

Replaced the Continentals on my XLT Hybrid with the Michelin CrossClimate2 tires at 1000 miles, have 9000 on the truck now and also love them. My mileage did not change at all. Handling, wet handling and quiet are superior. Had the same Continentals on my previous vehicle and hated them.

Not typical. CC's grab so well and have a rolling resistance that typically impacts MPG. I lost around 2-3 MPG on our Winnebago Travato when we replaced the OEM tires and t werehe OEM's were not high efficiency tires to begin with. Handling though is amazing on the CC's..

Love these tires and I like the way they look with the tread pattern I went a little wider and got 235s makes the truck look a little more meaty and aggressive stance

Jmav216, it looks like we have a very similar setup in mind.

I have a '23 Ecoboost XL AWD 4K tow and I wanted to move to the MICHELIN CROSSCLIMATE 2 225/60R18 104H XL, since I purchased the 18" Bronco Sport Outer Banks rims.

My concern is in the event of a flat, can you the non-directional spare? I tried contacting Michelin support and they told me that I would have to tow the vehicle...

I'm not buying that. You should be able to use the spare tire with no problem. The spare being non-directional just means it can be used on either side of the truck. Like all small spare tires just limit your speed and replace with repaired tire ASAP.

I know the Michelin CrossClimate2 gets great reviews, but I think they look like farm tractor tires.

CrossClimates are good if you don't get much snow or if you're in a major city that plows early and often. My wife has them on her vehicle. I run the Michelin Defender LTX and swap them for Blizzaks in winter.

We do live in the city near downtown but I thought about getting Blizzaks, they're only 600 bucks from Costco on the 17 inch rims - that would allow us to go up into the snowy mountains occasionally, more confidently than the all-weather types.

I currently have the stock Continental Pro Contacts on 17s

I made the mistake of getting bronco sport 18 inch for a second set, and any tire in that size seems more expensive.

My reason for looking at the Crossclimates is because the temperatures fluxuate a lot here in Colorado Springs.
