Hey nice recovery! I dont think the truck was too stuck myself. But without a fat boy like me around help was needed. A lil tip for everyone. If you are stuck like that. Take all the people around you who are on their phones calling professionals and put em on that high side of the bed. Once they weigh it down a lil, that tire would regain its contact with the ground and you just drive on out. No tow needed. Think like those sail boat racers who hang their butts out over the ocean to turn the boat into the wind.

I pulled a Silverado 2500 with the snow plow that was stuck on an incline while he was plowing a driveway. I went back to shoveling my hundred foot driveway and he turned around waved and said thank you. You think he would have helped me plow my driveway.

While I applaud your willingness to help, I see some major and dangerous flaws in this recovery.

1. The rope has no business being attached to the F-150's hitch. A hitch is not designed for that kind of force and could have easily failed and if it did . . .
2. The girl should have been no where near the operation and if anywhere, in the trees. if that hitch had failed, it would have shot out like a cannon ball and could have struck her. There are many instances of fatalities because of improper recoveries.

I'm no expert on recoveries, but I did happen upon this YouTube video explaining the do's and don't's of doing a recovery.
