Fordrangerlifts 2” lift kit.
VR Forged D14 Bronze
BFG KO2 245/75r17

Everything came out great! Still rides good. Yes mpg will be lower, don’t know how much yet. Yes, this tire size requires some trimming of the metal pinch weld and inner fabric liner in the fronts. Yes speedo and ODO will be off with different tire size vs factory.
Would I do it again…HELL YES!!!

I’ve been trying to decide if I want the Ford Ranger lifts kit, or the Rough country lift. Is there any major difference between the two? My understanding is they’re both spacer lifts, but I can’t seem to understand why anybody would pay $300 more for essentially the same thing. Also, love the build. 245/75 is the perfect size for the Maverick and I’ll definitely run the same when I get my truck :)

Been asking the same question myself. From looking at the two products and the trucks on here that have them installed I think I figured out the price difference. The Rangerlift kit has a heavier build quality and keeps the rake(higher in back) where as the RoughCountry has a decent build quality and levels the truck. Both look great but I plan on getting the RoughCountry for that leveled look and the price.

So doing more research on the 2" lift kits.. looks like the RoughCountry lift uses a combo tower and spring spacer on the front. Probably will be switching to the Ranger Lift for ease of install.

Just like to say... I'm really jelly right now lol. That looks like the best combo of lift and tire size without looking too weird. My mav arrives April 10th-16th so I'm getting a lot of ideas from so many here on this forum. Thank you for posting your beautiful truck!

I'm curious what the calculation is for the benefit of larger tires? I'm assuming you want to take it offroad? But the larger tires alos sap your low end torque/power do they not? So does anyone sit down and think about where the best compromise is?

Or is is primarily aesthetic, which I totally understand. I always call the A/T tires "hiking boots" and I wear boots just about every where...

Unless you're baja racing the power tradeoff is less in consideration than the extra ground clearance and greater contact patch = more traction/less ground pressure.
