ST is just an appearance package now, it's not going to have any special stuff other than cool wheels and sit a little lower.

Ford has "ST Line" appearance packs for Escape and Explorer, and I'm sure other vehicles.

I agree a manual transmission is probably a reach due to development costs and EPA certification, but how about paddle shifters for the 8-spd automatic. I'm not up-to-date on the Bronco Sport or Escape but do seem to remember them being available within the last few years (or maybe it was another CUV I was researching during my 16 month wait for my Mav).

And perhaps the front tow hooks are for the folks who think their Mario Andretti (showing my age) or Scott Dixon/Joseph Newgarden and will end up needing to be pulled back on the road/track after finding out they have more exuberance than skill...you know a "hold my beer and watch this!" moment.

I hope this is genuine. I would love to see an ST version and have serious performance prowess backing it. This is what a lot of people are asking for, including myself. If it's legit, I would love to get one at the end of my lease.

Needless to say an ST version is what I’m waiting on myself.

2.3 will fit right in no problem as this vehicle platform has this engine in it already in a few vehicles. Here’s hoping, if so I’ll finally Try and get one on order!
