Maverick Scheduling This Week (9/14/23) for Production Weeks 11/06-11/27

Really hope I get scheduled this week. Seems like last time I talked with my sales rep, the dealership had more allotments than rollover orders. Mine's a 23-24 rollover and my priority has been upgraded to 02 over the priority 19 that my dealership gives everyone. Don't see any constraints that would hold me back either.

Strange on the timing of the emails. My 23 rollover scheduled order email arrived on a Tuesday and the other for a new order on a Thursday.

I predict we'll get a good number of rollovers but a few new orders getting scheduled and there will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

I placed my XLT order -- new order -- with a small dealer in West Virginia the first week order banks opened, and the dealer just let me know my order is previewing this week. Fingers crossed. (At the time I ordered I believe he had one rollover order scheduled already. He said he had five allocations last year.)

I haven’t seen the VIN posted yet. I was just told that my order number was on the am preview report. The VIN will be posted by Thursday

I like my small town dealership. My only complaint (so far) was there was not much sense of urgency.
I was there and placed my order 8am on the 17th but it was not submitted to the order bank until 10:30 EST on the 18th.
It’s all good but I think it probably took me out of the hunt for this months go around.
I just want to see all the MY23 carry overs get scheduled and clear out of the system.

Is retail scheduling for the people who have ordered one? What's the difference between that and stock?

Here is the thing about that Jon.
Don't feel you'll be delayed by them being a typical dealership with no sense of urgency and laying oin your order for a day.
Especially the Maverick, did you notice the eager excited
expression on their face change when you said the word Maverick and they realized you wern't buying an F-150?
They are not making much on this vehicle and in no time soon.
However, again, don't worry about the 1 day delay.
I was there before the doors opened the first day of ordering - IN 2022! - and I still don't have my truck.
They build what they want to build when they want to build it.
If you're cynical you'd say they are building what is most profitable first.
If you buy into the supply chain constraints or allocations crap you'd say oh well I understand.
I've watched as 10s of thousands, maybe a 100,00 now get their trucks ahead of me when I ordered first.
That doesn't matter in today's world.
You're thinking like me - it's 1950's thinking really - that first come first serve - it is not that way.
Didn't matter when you ordered.
What matters is how profitable is it to them, what supply chain constraints can they still not source after 3 years and their double secret allocuation dealership game.
Lots of things to be concerned or worried about - when you ordered or them delaying it a day because they were selling an Escape they had on the lot and you are not an urgency isn't one of them.

Retail is for customer orders.
Stock is for the ones you see on the dealer lot.

I think he means scheduled for the week of Oct 30th which is mostly in November.

I was referring more to the document in the first page that says they're scheduling for 11/6 - 11/27.
You're right though, they could absolutely fit some more scheduling into October, however it looks like he's just previewing and doesn't have a VIN or build date set in stone yet. We'll see Thursday!
