It is a complex matrix of decision making that includes specs of your order compared to available components , the allocation available to your dealer, the regional allocation, the date of your order and the number of orders at your dealer.

Im sure there are other nuisances that go into it, but that’s it in a nut shell.
Thank you. It helps to be able to get one's mind around it.

I may have missed it, I didn’t see where this article gave a shutdown timeframe.

The actual Reuters report specifically said Friday 10/15. An earlier article (posted on the forum also) discussed the 10/11-12 shutdown.

No problem, just trying to make sure we have the facts only the facts.
They didn't give a shutdown timeframe, I'm guessing they don't know. The point of the post was that several of us were wondering if it was the spray in liner due to the plant fire in TX or a shortage of a certain color or whatever that seems to be delaying us week to week. First article I saw (popped up on the front of my Google news page) that specifically pointed out the cause of the delay. Saw several articles about the shutdown but not that it was specifically the chips, just a "shortage". I guess I'll leave the facts to the experts and resume my speculation, instigation, and misinformation. :devilish:😆

I feel your pain!

My fist truck was supposed to have been built 10/4 but is still showing in production. It shown in production since 9/29.

I think it’s been lost in the factory somewhere. ☹
At least your's is in production. I don't even have a build date yet.

Well that doesn’t give me hope lol, I just got an email stating they moved my production date from 11/8 to 10/25

If there aren't any material shortages under normal circumstances, does the Hermosillo plant operated on the weekends?

Well, a move to the left is a good sign. At least it indicates they are actively managing the production based on material availability rather than just pushing everyone to the right.

I would agree, but I wonder if he meant that to be the opposite?

Ordered on 6-23. Scheduled to build week of 10-11. Just my luck.
I've seen many people who ordered weeks after me already get there truck, or at least it's built and in transit to the dealer.
Mine was a pretty straightforward XLT FX4, 2.0 build. Big sigh...
