Well if your dealer only wants $500.00 and if you ordered a Hybrid and you'll be lucky to get it in January your 2k could be making interest for you. Giving more won't get your truck any sooner!

This is very true. I asked my salesman if he wanted me to put 500 down and he said to give them nothing.... That being said he would probably be happy if I didnt pick it up because he would probably sell my truck in a week and make much more on it!

How is it that there is no charge in the eco boost engine? My build is almost exactly the same but with a hefty eco boost charge??

Hybrid is standard, Ecoboost costs $1085, AWD is $2220.

The build and price tool puts the Ecoboost engine cost into the base MSRP. Presumably because having an engine isn't optional.

I actually saw a picture of an actually window sticker that had a charge for a 4K tow package AND an FX4 tow package built into a price together. I was scratching my head....

A non-refundable deposit is illegal. I have a good friend who is a top salesman at a Toyota dealer tell me that as well as another salesman

That depends on the state.

Any dealership may have a policy where it just does not accept cash deposits, or it may allow a refund within a certain number of days. The dealership should have its policies clearly defined, and any non-refund policy should be clearly written and indicated on any receipt or contract that you sign. If the dealership has a refund policy clearly posted, or written on the sales contract or receipt, and it chooses not to honor that policy, you can seek legal recourse against the dealership. In PA the deposit has to be returned. In the case of the Maverick I cant imagine them not considering the dealer could turn around and sell the truck in week with a higher profit.

I also got that email forwarded to me by my dealer, was approved 11/16. so I feel like I'm good, now just trying to understand when to expect a build date. Went EB after seeing the lead time on hybrids so I am hoping maybe it gets scheduled for Jan/Feb sometime?

Ordered on December 29th. I realize that is super late and that I'm going to be way way out on build and delivery. I signed the build order and received the confirmation email that an order was placed. I've emailed and called the dealer a couple times to see if there is a reservation number or something to indicate my place in line. Nothing! I find that odd. I also reserved a Lightining and it looks like I'm around 100,000 in line. So I don't expect anything on it until 2024. Also ordered two Chevrolet EV Trucks within 15 minutes of the opening. Got very littel from them.
