Spoiler: Driving.Ca picks the Maverick, but shows some pros and cons to each machine under harsh winter conditions that are interesting. Also not the first time I've heard that retractable hard tonneaus like those that come standard on many trims of the Santa Cruz lock up in the extreme cold, so something to consider for Maverick too since there are some third parties selling those.
