Some is also just luck of the draw. Our Ram 1500 is over 150K miles and purring like a kitten with only a few hundred bucks of repairs we had to do in the past 13 years, but there are others that had the HEMI lifters fail at less than half that mileage so who knows. My 200,000 mile 92 Comanche that survived injesting 2 napkins and a facemask in its throttle body, is going strong getting to and working on the farm 4 days a week. It also takes care of any heavy hauling duties(2200lb payload>any t100). Ohh yeah in the 3 years I have owned it, I had to haul several broken less than 20 year old toyota trucks. One a 2019 Taco with a blown motor (from crossing about 18" of water)and another mid 2000s with no transmission.
Any car will last forever or die quickly depending on how its treated, used, and abused. Or how well its owner knows its capability.
In all fairness, the Maverick AWD is designed more as a vehicle to get to your adventure rather than the off-road adventure in of itself. Doesn't take rocket science to know the 4x4 is better equipped for off road.
Thats true. Some is also just luck of the draw. Our Ram 1500 is over 150K miles and purring like a kitten with only a few hundred bucks of repairs we had to do in the past 13 years, but there are others that had the HEMI lifters fail at less than half that mileage so who knows.
Still I think someone should test a lifted and better tired Maverick against the big TRD.In all fairness, the Maverick AWD is designed more as a vehicle to get to your adventure rather than the off-road adventure in of itself.
