Hopefully the other person has sufficient limits to pay for the replacement of the vehicle, although, we all know that will take some time, given you can't just go to a lot and buy one, and ordering doesn't open for nearly two months. (Haven't read the entire thread, but no doubt in my mind she's totaled).
Any chance your insurance company offers, and you added the 'new car' option? - Some carriers offer that option, which pays up to 20% OVER MSRP, to allow you to replace your vehicle with a similar vehicle. This is the one time I did in fact add the option, when putting my '23 Maverick onto our Travelers policy. (I'm also the insurance agent on the account, and knew it's existence to add it). There are some unclaimed Mavericks showing up, given not everyone can get approved for financing, their financial situation changed, or the dealer add a Market Adjustment, having them walk away. That 20% would go a long way towards the market adjustment BS currently being practiced. I for one would try and replace my Maverick, only a month in, but really like & enjoy driving it.
