In my current truck (not a Maverick), I found a really cheap new-condition ridged one-piece DIBL that was really inexpensive for what it was, and have had no regrets with it in place. I've never pulled it out to check on bed scratches or rust, but I didn't buy the truck to be a beauty queen, but a daily driver and weekend hauler, so wear marks from use are to be expected. The original bed had some hail damage (bought the vehicle with the damage), and so the DIBL protected it and covered up the hail dents. But I also wanted a bit of cushioning, so I got a thick rubber bed mat that sits on top of the DIBL and have had no problems. The rubber bed mat provides a nice non-slick surface, and a bit of cushioning for when I'm in the bed or for cargo against the hard DIBL. Also, the mat can easily be pulled out in case debris (dirt/mulch/etc.) goes underneath the mat for cleaning, or if I do want a smoother surface for whatever I'm hauling.

For my Maverick, it will have the spray-in liner from the factory, but I'm still going to get a rubber mat to provide a bit of cushioning for cargo or my knees as needed.

It’s been my experience having had both spray on and a one piece drop in liner the spray on has to many benefits no to go with it - I was lucky who ever ordered my 2025 had the factory spray on included which is really nice then I dropped in the Ford OEM bed mat but I understand money and preference rules

I did exactly this. Spray in and Maverick branded bed mat. So far so good!
