Naranjita Update. Naranjita is my little cyber orange 2022 Maverick Lariat Lux. Over 80,000 miles now!

Deep into winter, finally got new tires to replace my MAXXIS RAZR AT's and installed the Mabett Roof Light Bar I bought 2 months ago. I will write a full review of the tires in another thread. I also bought orange tow hook covers because the cyber orange paint job has not held up on them for 3 years. They look like they have leprocy. See photos below:

Looks pretty nifty up there, even with the lights off.

But looks even better with the lights on. They are LED, and super bright at night.

During the day, you just don't grasp how bright they really are.

I think the look goes really well with the Maverick design, and plays nice with my Cyber Orange and Black theme.

It fits great with the OEM sunroof About 3/4 inch to spare!

These are low profile, look great and produce almost no wind noise! I added matte black tape between the bottom and the windshield. I didn't like the cyber orange peeking through in between. I think it makes a better looking install.

Comes with a remote control on/off button that can be installed anywhere. I chose to put it overhead near the sunroof control.

Here are my new Predator New Mutant AT tires. Love the look!

Here are my thoughts on the Mabett Roof Light Bar:

I'm only on Day 3, but I love the roof light bar from Mabett. It took about 2 hours to install, start to finish. The video posted by Mabett on YouTube was super helpful. Everything that is needed for a full install was included. Including the remote control button, the underhood remote control module, a screwdriver, a socket wrench for connecting to the battery, screws and bonding tape promoter.

This only connects to your Maverick via 3M bonding tape. No drilling or physical fasteners. You clean your paint surface, use the bonding promoter on the surface and then apply the base. I added my own additional 3M auto tape to the base to make sure it was super adhered. Don't want it flying off. Should be fine. Mabett recommends 12 hours bonding time before driving. I waited 20 hours.

I decided to install the remote button overhead near the sunroof control (see photo above). Seemed the most intuitive to me, to have the button overhead up near the lights. The remote button works flawlessly. My only gripe is I wish it had indicator light letting me know the lights are on.

The most difficult thing of the install is installing the base on the roof. It's more of a two person job in order to line it up well. Otherwise it's quite awkward and oblong to do on your own with the precision required. Don't want an unaligned install. The screws included are to screw the 4 off road lights to the base and to screw the top cover to the base after installed.

I drove it around last night in driving rain. I do wish the beam spread was a little wider. It does nothing to light up the sides of the road until approximately 150' out. But they are super bright within its spread. Another less than desirable effect is it lights up the rain very bright to give you that time warp appearance like you get in the snow. In heavy snow, they might not be useful.

The biggest reason I bought this light bar besides the look, is to help find the deer out here on those dark wet Washington State winter nights. We have suicidal deer that jump out of nowhere in the rural area I live and I am hoping the lights will help me prevent collisions. The light bar produces very little wind noise. It's not audible to me, probably because of the hum of my all-terrain tires. Around 65-70 MPH, i think I hear a slightly higher wind noise. Not bad at all.

And I can absolutely confirm, this thing does not interfere with the OEM Sunroof. You can see in the photos. Not only does the light bar completely clear the sunroof by at least 3/4", but it's not even visible looking up from the front seat of the cab looking through the sunroof. No need to worry about that!

We'll see how this thing holds up to a Washington State dreary wet winter. Living here is a true test to an outdoor product's ability to withstand moisture. 3 days in, I can tell you that I love it. Love the look, love the price, love the ease of install and love being able to see better at night!

Wow, I know exactly where you took those photos. Spent lots of time there when I was a kid causing chaos and mayhem in that community.
Now there are new generations of kids that have taken your place. :) Seriously though, Carlyon Beach is a pretty quiet place. Just glad it stopped raining long enough to take the photos!

I too like my light bar. I did run into a problem after I had installed the unit and my windshield required replacing. It took me the third try to find a tech who would do the job. Two others walked away because the overhang of the light bar kept them from approaching the windshield at a 90 degree angle as is their norm for removing and installing the glass. The third tech and I removed the light’s cover and then the two us were able to pivot the top edge of the glass first and slowly lower it in place over the sealant. It took us a second try to have confidence that we had a good seal that wouldn’t leak.

Thanks for the info. That's super helpful to know. When I dry fit mine, I thought it appeared to encroach a little too close to the glass and could hamper a windshield replacement. I decided to put mine up about an extra 1/2 inch to give a little more windshield replacement room. Not sure if that will help. It's the biggest reason why I added matte black tape between the windshield and the light bar. Too much cyber orange showing between the two!

I miss the 70s where cars had four round headlights and you could swap out the sealed high beams for 13v 100 watt flat glass aircraft Landing lights..
As some of my friends did.😇
No light bar needed.

That may be just enough with the top cover off to avoid the problem I ran into.

Excellent review! They look great! I like the idea of blacking out your orange paint They do look better without that distraction. This is a new product from Mabett and was reviewed on an earlier thread, but there was no information on how it was powered or how to install the switch, so I thank you for including at least that the switch is a remote. That really cuts down on the install difficulty and a smart move by Mabett. I live in suburbia, so little use for the off road lighting, but this would be the light bar I would definitely get just on looks alone. Thanks for the write-up.

Where did you get the 3 lights in the grille?
The LED strips were purchased as a group of 10 from Amazon. I believe the seller was Nilight. The harness was of my own make.
