After shopping around trying to get the best band for the buck hard tri fold, I came across the Lund. At the time the only store that showed it was NAPA, and I contacted Alex from Real Truck who got me a competitive price, and warned me that my wait was 2-3 weeks.

Cover came in probably about 2 weeks business days. Happy with Real Truck and their ordering/discount and delivery time frame.

The cover is not some hidden value, you are getting exactly what you pay for. Water resistance will be OK but not as good as the more expensive units.

I did have some damage on some of the weather seals during shipping, so I will get to see how Lund support is. Better packaging would probably of prevented the damage.

Pros:

1. Easy install, easy to remove. Once you know how, you can pop it off in 5 minutes or less if you need the full bed.
2. Price is the cheapest hard tri fold available.
3. Looks good, I was recommended to use 303 to protect it, which I do on all the plastics anyway, so easy peasy.
4. Lifetime warranty on the hardware, 10 year warranty on the vinyl that covers the plastic.

Cons:

1. Bed security. This ain't it for safe guarding anything expensive. the rear can be lifted up because of the spring clamp style rear latches.
2. Packaging on shipping. As seen in the photos, left a little to be desired on protecting it during shipping.
3. Water proofing is much less than what I expect with a more expensive system.

Overall, 7 out of 10. It does what I want it to, but If I had a bit bigger budget I would go for a more expensive one that gives me a bit more security. May sell this one with the truck when my hybrid arrives.

Quick update - I called the day I got it, but they were closed. Left a voicemail with both my email and phone number, and did not hear back this week.

I guess it will fall on me to call again, during business hours and see how it pans out.

Photo of water after my first wash with it on. To be fair, some seals are damaged, but about what I expected after opening it up.

Called Lund on June 3rd, left a voicemail with my number and email.

No return call, so I called them back on June 17th, and was provided an email contact. I emailed right away.

Fast forward to today, I have gotten a response direct me to Real Truck. So far unimpressed with Lund and how they have handled it, the redirect is not the issue as much as the fact it took 16 business days to get me a resolution ( on their side at least, redirecting me to Real Truck ).

We will see how Real Truck Handles, I assume great as they have been fantastic to work with, however I am unimpressed with Lund and don't see myself choosing their products in the future.

Had similar problems with avs bugflector 2. Missing grommets . Had negative experience with avs and wouldn't order anything from them again . ordered grommets from Amazon . have about 100 extras now . Had to drill extra holes in two center flanges to make avs bugflector fit . liked it enough to modify it . l didn't mess with realtruck since product/warranty was with avs . avs customer service poor .
I have undercover armor flex tonneau cover and very pleased with it so far . both were ordered from realtruck .pleased with service , price and delivery.

That is a bummer, I was actually looking at the AVS because I want to be able to transfer it from my EB to my Hybrid ( probably in 2023 at this point )

I selected this cover because it fit my budget ( of Amex rewards points ). Going to spend a bit more next time. Outside of the issues, as far as it being a good price point, I think it hits that well other than the fact that now all the Chinese companies are starting to drop inexpensive hard tri folds.

Update 7/12

Worked with Real Truck today. I am going on a big road trip so wanted a solution before the weekend.

Ended up purchasing a Bak MX4, and will be returning the damaged Lund for credit in the packaging that the Bak comes in.

Not happy with with Lund overall, but Real Truck has been absolutely fantastic to work with. Looking forward to installing the new cover before my road trip and getting the old one shipped back.
