So I’ve hit 10k miles and went to Discount Tire to get a rotate and balance. Sales guy mentions two piece lug deal with Fords. Told him I considered aftermarket one piece black lugs but couldn’t justify $100.

He said he’d sweeten the pot. If I bought the new lugs from them, he’d throw in lifetime rotate and balance on the factory Contis.

I thought that was a pretty good offer since they charge $40 for single rotate and balance.

YMMV but it may be worth a shot if you’re interested.

You can get some aftermarket lugs on eBay for $20. Shouldn’t need to rebalance existing tires and rotate you can do yourself every 5k miles

How much was the Discount Tire price for the replacement black lug nuts with lifetime rotate and balance Included?
If they're comparably priced. I would say go with Discount Tire. Doing a tire rotation by yourself is a pain in the ass, especially the balancing part.
Additionally, not everybody wants to do it and not everybody has the space or tools. I know I don't have a tire balancing machine.
Doing a tire rotation on the street at 20° out in the winter time in the midwest or east coast is just a wonderful experience. 🙄
In reality, since you're going to have to have your tires rebalanced at some point. You might as well go with the Discount Tire Program and have them rebalanced every time they're rotated. You can always tell Discount Tire to just do the rotation and skip the rebalance.

Or use Ford Rewards points. At the moment, I have some 37k points and don't have my truck as of yet, but when I do, I will use the points to pay for stuff.

Just a shout out to @Discount Tire... The factory Continental Pro Contact TX's on my '24 XLT had worn out tread after just over 24k miles. So I got a good deal on a set of Nokian Encompass AW01's at their store in Janesville. I did the lug nut upgrade with them right after I bought my Maverick, because I'd already had trouble with the factory ones (with the outer casing) on my previous vehicle. They always take good care of my tire issues.
