Hello Maverick Owners!

I just joined the Maverick Truck Club and hope everyone is doing good. I've had my Maverick since the last week of October and love it! I have an issue that I just noticed recently and was wondering if anyone has the same issue. When I start the truck with the Ford Pass auto start, there is a very loud clicking noise that comes from the area of the driver's side front wheel well. It doesn't happen every time I remotely start the vehicle but enough that it's very noticeable when it does happen. Anyone else having the same issue? I've scoured the internet looking for similar issues other owners have had and found nothing. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Clickling noises on the hybrid is normal; is it consistent or intermittent? if intermittent its normal.

Actually, it makes clicking noises while the truck is off too, if you sit in it long enough while its off you'll hear it in the cabin and even outside

Thanks for you response. I've heard the clicking noises you are describing and it's not that. This noise is very loud and sounds "unhealthy" for lack of a better term and it seems to be very loud by the front driver's side wheel well.

There are several different clicking noises. One is the electric ABS actuator, which you will always hear clicking away (pressurizing the standard brake lines). The other is the the front grill shutters opening as closing as needed, that is a louder noise, so you might hearing the motor for those clicking on and off as they do so. To check this just look at the shutters on the lower front and see if they are opening and closing.

Thank you very much for the information. I will certainly check the front grill shutters. I'm hoping that is the case because it's very difficult to get into the dealership for a service visit because they are so understaffed and busy. Thanks again!

Hello! Could you privately message us with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer so I can look into this noise concern for you? Thank you!
