Won't take that bet. Lots of chatter in the Louisville Courier about picking up production orders because Hermasillo cannot meet demand. With a 25% tariff supposed to go in effect August 1, lots of speculation on that. The 2026 Maverick and other US vehicles made in Mexico get very pricey even if Ford and other brands offer incentives or eat some of that. Dealer on hand inventories turn to gold, which is why I wanted a 2025. On your turf, Metro Ford in Chicago, Illinois, currently wants over $51K for a Maverick. And people in hell want ice water.
Of course the people in Louisville want the Maverick to be built there, since the Escape is going away. But your statement that the 2026 Maverick will be built there is blatantly false.

As of 7/1, there were 30K+ Mavericks in dealer stock, so they've got product to sell.

You are absolutely correct. Sorry. My fault for not correctly reading the Courier-Journal article on retooling for the Maverick EV in 2027. The dealers have product but they won't trade a 2025 Lariat Hybrid to a buyer in another State. I can't drive far anymore to get one and was willing to pay for shipping within the lower 48 but that did not matter either. Not returning another dealer's emails to just say "no" says a lot to me about those dealerships. That Chicago's Metro Ford is asking over $51K for a Maverick seems more than free market supply and demand given the number of vehicles you identified as being available.

Yeah, some dealers in my area are still playing the "ADM" game, even though their lots are full of vehicles.
I'm able to buy on Employee A/Z-Plan, but the local dealer that I bought my first 2 Mavericks from made it clear that he would not sell me another at Plan price, so I made the 325 mile trip to Rochester MN to get my current Tremor.

Mind sharing what your Tremor is like? I have owned two Ford Ranger Supercabs (a 1997 3L and a 2003 4L) and two F 150 Supercabs, a 2010 FX4 with a V8 and my current 2021 Lariat with the 3.5L EcoBoost.

Check out this Lariat Hybrid with black appearance package at Granger Ford near
Des Moines, not too far from Kansas. They may ship for you if you pay the costs. If not, they may sell it to you and you arrange the shipping. Just a thought.........

ttps://www.grangerford.com/new-Des+Moines-2025-Ford-Maverick-Lariat-3FTTW8SA8SRB03976

EDIT: Not sure why the address above will not pull up. Just Google Granger Ford and pull up new Maverick in inventory.

EDIT: This one should work, hopefully~🙂

Looks very good but not a Hybrid. Dang. Most of the Lariat Hybrids w/Black Appearance I can find have Green Window Stickers.

You are right; my mistake. The other ruby red Lariat they have is a hybrid but only has the 4K towing package, not the black appearance package. Sorry I got them mixed up!:(

No worries. I have been down this road for a while now. There is one at Tri Lakes in Branson, MO, I would buy but they won't dealer trade, although it is for sale even with a Special Order Green Window Sticker. There is a Velocity Blue one at O'Meara in Denver. Blue sticker. Won't trade. I wonder if dealers are ordering Lariat hybrids with a name on the order so it comes faster with a Special Order Green Sticker?
