There are currently 20,358 total retail unscheduled orders as of 2/5/24. An increase of +517 retails in USOB.

Retail USOB: Is the current mix of retail orders in the unscheduled order bank (USOB) at the time the report was run. The report only looks at orders that are “clean”, meaning they do not have a compatibility error, material hold or on 99 priority code.

See the previous commodity report.

Looks like most of the order banks are still the unicorns: Hybrid XL.

Also appears the Tremors are bouncing around rounding-error territory. Guess allocations is literally the only thing preventing those from being cleaned out.

I completely agree, but looking back at the start since I can remember...have the Hybrid XLs ever not been the unicorn? haha. and how you enjoying your Mav @commadorebob ?

I enjoy it. It only gets driven twice a week because I work from home, but it is great. As the weather warms and we get back to camping, it will likely see more usage.

If Ford continues to build 13,000+ Mavericks a month (last month it was over 16,000) and new orders are plus 1,000 a week (this week it was only 517) the order banks will be mostly empty in about three months.

Well that will be the true test to whether or not Ford will shift off their original projected XL fulfillment and just build the remaining XL orders for customers.

Or ... will they start building out dealer stock in the higher trims based on their original # projections.

That'd be great to have your truck delayed over splash guards. Three screws to mount each one. I ordered some weathertech ones expecting my mav to get here this last weekend. They showed up friday.

Still waiting on delivery of the mav.
(Hurts just a little)

You're assuming that they fix their supply chain issues and don't idle the plant. While I agree that they can make all of the EB vehicles over the next month, getting any trim level hybrid in 2024 is looking very dicey at this point. Just a quick look at the numbers says that almost all of the USOB is hybrids at this time. They also need a lot more tires and SIBL, or they won't even be able to make most of the EB Lariats or XLTs . I doubt that its even possible to screw up the supply chain situation any worse than they already have, but I can always be surprised...

And yet Ford is currently making 13,000-16,000 Mavericks a month with the issues you state.

Imagine how many more they would make without supply chain issues.

LOL, so is mine (“built” as of 1/31/24, “order confirmed” as of 2/5/24) likely held up because of the tri-fold tonneau and front/rear splash guards?

It's called just-in-time manufacturing. They made 16K in January and they have allocated their parts for February and March production. They will get more just-in-time parts for when they schedule April's production..

Sorry, but I sincerely doubt that they actually have a functional JIT chain. If they did, I would not be on the end of a 13-month wait for an XLT hybrid Lux with cp360 and nothing else. With a month for shipping and the next 2 months already booked up, the best that I can hope for is a 16-month wait at this point. Its starting to look like my early-2023 order is actually going to be a 25 or even later. That's not JIT manufacturing by any sane measure. More than a few people in that supply chain need firing in the worst way.

No. None of this affects vehicles already scheduled or in production.

I would bet your delays are a result of dealer allocation. If your dealer does not have allocation, your order will never be sent to the factory to be scheduled.

Is there a way to know if one's dealer has allocations? I can't get a straight answer from mine. I ordered a zero constraints Hybrid XLT on September 2022. I receive Ford's email every 6 weeks.
