I ordered the maverick because it seemed to be a bargain ($19,999) I thought it was going to be small like the older Toyota pickups. And I was used to small vehicles. My previous car was a Fiesta ST. When the maverick arrived it seemed gigantic to me. But I love it. My last hybrid was a 2006 Prius, which turned out to be a cheap piece of junk. But I assumed that that was a sacrifice I had to make for good mpg.
But the maverick was 1000's cheaper than the prius from 06, gets the same mpg, and is a solid substantial vehicle

My Mav will not only be my first truck, but will also be my first new vehicle. Not my first Ford, though, as I have an Escape (my true first vehicle). My dad has had Fords forever, I learned to drive in his 2008 Explorer Sport Trac.

Had lots of rangers and fords. Not counting the wife's vehicles my first used car when I was 16 in 93 was an 87 Escort GT. Then I saved up and bought a 94 Ranger XLT a few months old. Bought a new 98 Ranger XLT, then I had a 2003 Ranger XLT. After that I had a new 07 F150 FX2, got a new job with a company supplied vehicle so I rarely drove it, sold it. Eventually I missed having a truck so I got a super low miles 2003 Ranger XLT used. After that I bought a 2 yr old 16 Escape in 18. Thats what I just sold and now have my 23 Maverick.
