Well, my 2023 Hybrid did not get built and I did go ahead and ordered 2024. It seems that I should get the 2024 Hybrid.
My order is for Hybrid XL. If I decide not to take it, is it possible to sell it without taking delivery.. what I mean I avoid financing
and paying Sales tax etc. I cannot fathom paying 6% interest on car loan.
Till date, I have not paid more than 1.9% on my previous purchases.

As far as I know the only way to sell without putting your name is to the dealership... they own it, not you until you purchase it - however I have heard some dealerships were offering some people payments to not take delivery.

You can't sell something you don't own.

Read your own question again. Can you sell something you don't own?

Okay, I'll bite. Until you take delivery the truck is not yours to sell. It gets delivered to the dealership you ordered it from and it belongs to them. Your order means that you technically have first right of refusal but as soon as you tell them you don't want it they will happily mark it up anywhere from $5-10k and sell it to anyone else who wants it.

I’m all for people asking questions on forums but sometimes I have to think these are jokes right?
TBF, this is better than someone posting who just wants to validate an answer they have already given themselves...

But no. Pinch yourself, you are not dreaming 😰

Thank you everybody for replies.
You nailed it here. It appears I have to deal with the dealer.

Can I sell a house I’m having built, but haven’t paid for yet?
Yes and no. You can sell "all your rights, title, interests". To the property and improvements with all parties contractors, subs agreeing to the terms and conditions. All parties will most likely be required to post a performance bond and possibly even seller also. I would expect seller would have to take a 20% or more hit. Unless seller bought property and signed all documents as "his name, his heirs and or his assigns" in which case the buyer and his attorney is the only ones who would have to be made happy.

Apparently, to make a profit of say 5k I have got to find a buyer for 7.5K.

You'll need to cover the purchase price and all ancillary charges like taxes, tags, doc fee, local fees etc., then any 'profit' is subject to Federal and State Short Term Capital Gains tax and generally taxed like regular income..

Good luck.
