Anybody have trouble with their interior lights? Mine only come on when I open the dorr IF the ignition is on. I've tried everything I know to make them come on whenever I open the door, especially at night, but I can't get them to come on. Any suggestions?

Put your 12v battery on a maintainer overnight and see if that fixes the problem. If so, your 12v battery may be deteriorating.

Your truck is probably in battery save mode. Ford's answer is to drive it more to charge the battery. They are supposedly working on a fix. I have the same problem every day.

Why do the interior lights work "fine" if the ignition is on. (the engine doesn't have to be running) If the ignition is off they don't work at all.

With the ignition on, the hybrid high voltage battery is powering the 12V systems (including lights inside and out) and charging the 12V battery.

When the ignition is off, you’re running off the 12V battery alone, and that one has a tendency to become discharged for reasons that are the source of frequent discussion around here.

Yes but.. it's crazy that when you need interior light the most, getting in the vehicle and finding the key hole(xl) there's no light. Definitely short sighted

Where and how do you hook up a battery tender on a 22 Maverick hybrid?
